The Kung Pow Kings brought the heat to Manila from July 24–26 with an unforgettable three-day camp held across two premier venues—the iconic SM Mall of Asia Ice Rink and Sky, and the Athlete Zone at 316 El Grande Ave., BF Homes Parañaque. With venue costs significantly lower than in Hong Kong, this camp offered a rare opportunity to experience world-class coaching at a fraction of the usual price. Players logged a total of six hours on the ice, complemented by several hours of focused off-ice training, making every moment count in a packed, high-energy schedule. On the ice, Coach Hayes To headlined the camp with high-intensity skills sessions that zeroed in on edge work, puck control, and quick-release shooting, leaving our skaters sharper and faster than ever. Coach Mike Lam led an outstanding LTP (Learn to Play) session, creating a supportive and energetic environment where beginners built confidence and fell in love with the game from the ground up. Between the pipes, Goalie Coach James Edward delivered focused, position-specific training that had our netminders tracking pucks and shutting down angles with new-found precision. Off the ice, athletes put in the work with conditioning, agility drills, and team-building exercises that rounded out a truly complete camp experience. From first-time skaters to seasoned players, everyone left better, hungrier, and proud to wear the Kung Pow crest. We highly recommend arriving the day before (July 23) and departing the day after (July 27) to ensure players are well-rested and able to make the most of every session.
