Kung Pow Kings 2025-26 FALL(FRI) LEARN TO PLAY/SKATE/SKILLS [U7-U13] DETAILS This 2025-26 program for our players is based on the IIHF, USA Hockey, and Hockey Canada programs. Learn to skate programs are designed to help younger students learn about their own balance, skating ability, and building confidence. This class will be focused on skating from the learn-to-skate level up to the advanced skating level. Power skating and edge work will also be taught to the higher-level players. We are also offering stick handling, passing and shooting lessons for those that are ready. Students will be broken into appropriate skill and age groups. **Note** This season, we will be capping our maximum registration to 15 participants to ensure an optimal coach-to-player ratio for learning purposes. In-line hockey and floorball are gaining recognition as effective supplementary sports for ice hockey players. These fast-paced games enhance crucial skills such as agility, hand-eye coordination, and stickhandling, all of which translate seamlessly to the ice. The lower injury risk and year-round playability of in-line hockey and floorball allow players to maintain their physical fitness and improve their game sense without the constraints of ice availability. Furthermore, the emphasis on teamwork and communication in both sports fosters essential interpersonal skills. Incorporating these activities into training regimens not only enriches players' abilities but also keeps their passion for the game alive throughout the year.
